Text: Evaluate patients with hypertension & possible hyperaldosteronism. Primary hyperaldosteronism, (Conn syndrome), is caused by the overproduction of aldosterone by the adrenal glands. Secondary hyperaldosteronism is relatively common and is the result of a condition that decreases blood flow to the kidneys, decreases BP , or lowers plasma sodium levels.
